Circuit Mission Statement

The Circuit aims to provide the support and structures to encourage all the churches in the circuit to feel part of the whole and enable them to witness effectively within their communities.

• To provide training and learning opportunites for members through a planned series of events throughout the year that enriches individuals, local churches and the life of the circuit. 
• To enable, support and challenge local churches as they respond to the calling of witnessing for Christ in their own communities.
• To support the outreach work in communities, especially the new communities that are moving into the area. 
• To explore new ways of presenting the Gospel of Christ in the local community and on the new housing developments. 
• To work with ecumenical partners and pursue ways of being church that are not necessarily dependent on existing church buildings.

             This will be achieved by:-

• A regular review of the work of the circuit staff and the leadership team.
• Reviewing the deployment of people, finance and property within the circuit to ensure that it is fit for the purpose of mission within the area. 
• Encouraging local churches to investigate and respond to the needs of their local community, looking at outreach and provision of worship that helps the existing congregation but also responding to the differing needs of others. 
• Encouraging local churches to consider regular giving to charities and organisations involved in helping poorer communities at home and abroad.
